About

Upside Down Pictures is an American film and television production company founded by Matt and Ross Duffer (the Duffer Brothers), creators of the global Netflix phenomenon Stranger Things, and formally announced on July 6, 2022. The company is the exclusive creative hub for the Duffer Brothers under their overall deal with Netflix, which runs through April 2026, with president Hilary Leavitt leading day-to-day operations. Its stated mission is to produce stories 'at the crossroads where the ordinary meets the extraordinary,' spanning genre films, prestige television, adaptations, and original series. In August 2025, the company signed a landmark four-year exclusive deal with Paramount (Skydance) for feature films, television, and streaming projects, set to begin when their Netflix deal expires in April 2026.
