The Tank

The Tank is a nonprofit off-off-Broadway performance venue and producer based in Manhattan, New York, founded in May 2003. It serves as a midtown home for new work by emerging artists across disciplines including theater, comedy, dance, music, and film, providing free or subsidized space and promotional support to artists at no cost. The Tank houses two performance spaces — the 98-seat June Havoc Theater and the 56-seat Dorothy Strelsin Theater — and five rehearsal studios, collectively presenting over 1,000 performances each year. In 2020, the organization received an Obie Award for its commitment to supporting emerging artists.
