The Stone Quarry

The Stone Quarry (formerly Cruel and Unusual Films, Inc.) is an American film and television production company based in Pasadena, California, co-founded by director Zack Snyder, producer Deborah Snyder, and executive Wesley Coller as a rebranding of their prior banner in January 2019. The company produces high-profile action, sci-fi, and genre projects centered on Zack Snyder's distinctive visual style, including Army of the Dead, the Rebel Moon duology, and the animated series Twilight of the Gods, all for Netflix. In July 2021, The Stone Quarry signed a first-look film deal with Netflix, anchoring the company as one of the streamer's premier genre production partners. The company is also home to Stone Quarry Animation, a dedicated animation venture launched in connection with the Twilight of the Gods series.
