About
The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture is the official arts center of the Archdiocese of New York, located on historic Bleecker Street in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood. Named after the Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, it opened in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit venue where art and spirituality meet, presenting more than 75 events per season spanning theater, film, music, and intellectual discourse. The complex includes a 273-seat neoclassical proscenium Loreto Theater, an 80-seat black box Frank Shiner Theater, four rehearsal studios, and the Janet Hennessey Dilenschneider Gallery. It has hosted notable productions, film premieres, concerts, and is a preferred venue for WFUV Radio's Marquee Concerts and the SOHO Forum debate series.
