About

The Ford Theatres (officially the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre) is a 1,200-seat outdoor performing arts amphitheatre nestled in the Cahuenga Pass in Hollywood's Santa Monica Mountains, owned by the County of Los Angeles and operated in partnership with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation. Built in 1920 and renovated in 2016–2017, The Ford is one of the oldest continuously operating performing arts venues in Los Angeles, presenting an eclectic June–October summer season of music, dance, theater, film, and family events reflective of LA County's diverse communities. Named a 'Best Music Venue' by LA Weekly, the intimate amphitheatre ensures no patron is more than 96 feet from the stage, making it one of LA's most beloved outdoor entertainment destinations and a sister venue to the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall.
