Founded in 2011 by veteran sales executive Brian O'Shea, The Exchange is a leading worldwide sales, finance, and production company committed to building strong relationships between filmmakers, financiers, and distributors. Over thirteen years the company has acquired, financed, produced and/or sold more than 200 films with budgets ranging from $5 million to $90 million, including titles for Disney, Sony, Fox, Universal, Netflix, and Amazon. In January 2025, Oscar-winning producer/distributor Voltage Pictures acquired a controlling interest in The Exchange, with O'Shea remaining as CEO and Voltage's Alexandra Cocean elevated to President of Global Sales and Distribution.
