Studio Virc

Studio Virc is a Slovenian family-run film and TV production company founded in 1992 in Novo Mesto, operating both a Motion Picture Department and a Corporate & Commercial Department. The company gained international recognition through feature and documentary co-productions, most notably with 'Houston, We Have a Problem!' (Tribeca 2016) and animated short 'Granny's Sexual Life', winner of the European Film Award and French César. In 2024, their co-production 'The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent' by Nebojša Slijepčević won the Palme d'Or at Cannes, the EFA, and the French César, earning an Oscar nomination in 2025. They have co-produced with partners from 11 countries and are supported by Eurimages, MEDIA/Creative Europe, and the Slovenian Film Centre.
