St. John's in the Village

St. John's in the Village is a historic Episcopal church and performing arts venue located at the corner of Waverly Place and West 11th Street in Greenwich Village, New York City, with roots dating to 1853. The modern building was designed by architect Edgar Tafel (a student of Frank Lloyd Wright) and features exceptional acoustics, an Austrian pipe organ, and theatrical lighting that allows its nave to double as a performance space. The venue hosts a robust arts program including concerts, recitals, theatrical productions, and art exhibitions, and is home to resident ensembles including the Greenwich Village Chamber Singers.
