South Australian Film CorporationFollow

The South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) is a South Australian Government statutory corporation established in 1972 under the South Australian Film Corporation Act, making it Australia's longest-running state screen agency. Originally a direct producer of feature films, it transitioned in 1994 to its current role as the lead government agency for the development, support, promotion, and funding of South Australia's screen production sector. The SAFC manages Adelaide Studios — a full-service production and post-production facility at Glenside — and offers a range of funding programs, production incentives (including a 10% PDV rebate and 10% Video Game Development Rebate), and strategic initiatives supporting film, television, and digital games. It has been associated with numerous acclaimed productions including The Babadook, Hotel Mumbai, Cargo, Breaker Morant, and Storm Boy.
