Shubert Organization

The Shubert Organization is America's oldest professional theatre company and the largest theatre owner on Broadway, currently owning and operating 17 Broadway theatres, six off-Broadway venues, and the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia. Founded in the late 19th century by the Shubert brothers and reorganized in its current form in 1973, it has produced and co-produced hundreds of Tony Award-winning plays and musicals including Cats, A Chorus Line, Dear Evan Hansen, Come From Away, and The Band's Visit. Through its Shubert Ticketing division — which includes consumer brands Telecharge and Broadway Inbound — the organization sells millions of tickets annually and is a leading provider of ticketing technology to the theatre industry. The Shubert Foundation, its sole shareholder, is dedicated to sustaining and advancing live performing arts in the United States, awarding a record $40 million in grants in 2024.
