Shinbone Productions, Inc. is the boutique producing banner of husband-and-wife screenwriter-producer team Rick Jaffa (CEO) and Amanda Silver (CFO/Secretary), incorporated in California in August 1989. The company is best known for originating and stewarding the modern Planet of the Apes reboot franchise — from Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) through Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024) — as well as co-writing major tentpoles including Jurassic World (2015), Mulan (2020), and the Avatar sequel series beginning with Avatar: The Way of Water (2022). Their collective productions have grossed well over $6 billion globally, making Shinbone one of Hollywood's most commercially impactful boutique producing banners.
