Rolling Stone is an American monthly magazine and multimedia brand focused on music, politics, and popular culture, founded in San Francisco in 1967 by Jann Wenner and music critic Ralph J. Gleason. Now fully owned by Penske Media Corporation (PMC), which acquired full ownership between 2017 and 2019, it is widely regarded as the world's leading music publication and cultural authority, reaching approximately 60 million people per month globally. In addition to its flagship print and digital magazine, Rolling Stone has expanded into live events (including the Life Is Beautiful festival), Rolling Stone Films, RS Live, RS Country, RS Latin, and international editions spanning 15+ countries.
