RED Production Company

Red Production Company Limited was a British independent television drama production company founded in 1998 by Nicola Shindler and headquartered in Manchester, UK. Owned by French production and distribution giant StudioCanal from December 2013, it became one of the UK's most acclaimed TV drama producers, responsible for landmark series including Queer as Folk, Happy Valley, It's a Sin, Scott & Bailey, Last Tango in Halifax, and Harlan Coben's Stay Close. In June 2025, StudioCanal announced the closure of Red Production Company, with its current and future projects absorbed by StudioCanal TV UK.
