Red Board Productions, Inc. is the Santa Monica-based vanity production company of acclaimed television writer-producer David Milch, incorporated in California in 1983. The company is best known as the production banner behind HBO's critically lauded Western drama series Deadwood (2004–2006), which won eight Emmy Awards, and its 2019 HBO film continuation Deadwood: The Movie, as well as the HBO surfing drama John from Cincinnati (2007). All projects have been produced in partnership with HBO, making Red Board a dedicated creator-driven label for Milch's television work.
