Questry Co., Ltd. is a next-generation financial startup and asset manager dedicated to Japan's entertainment and content industry, founded in September 2022 by Tomonobu Ibe (formerly of Goldman Sachs). The company provides 'Vertical Finance' — bespoke financial structuring, fund management, and digital securities/tokenization services — for film, animation, music, sports, and live entertainment projects. Its flagship initiative, developed in collaboration with Mizuho Securities, structures content funds to attract domestic and global investors into the Japanese anime and film production ecosystem. Questry aims to position Japanese entertainment as a new global asset class, opening access to markets previously closed to international investors.
