Ombra Films

Ombra Films is an L.A.-based production company founded in 2010 by Spanish director Jaume Collet-Serra and producer Juan Sola, initially backed by StudioCanal. The company was created to serve as a bridge between Spain and Hollywood, producing low-budget English-language horror, thriller, and fantasy films with an emphasis on launching emerging Spanish filmmakers. Its slate includes titles such as The Shallows (2016), The Commuter (2018), Mindscape (2013), Extinction (2015), Feedback (2019), and Retribution (2023).
