Mobra Films

Mobra Films is a Bucharest-based Romanian production and distribution company founded in 2003, formalizing the collaborative filmmaking partnership of director Cristian Mungiu, director Hanno Hoefer, and cinematographer Oleg Mutu — all colleagues at the Bucharest Film School from 1994 to 1998. The company is best known internationally for producing Cristian Mungiu's Palme d'Or–winning '4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days' (Cannes 2007) and subsequent award-winning features 'Beyond the Hills' (Cannes 2012) and 'Graduation' (Cannes 2016). In addition to features, shorts, and documentaries, Mobra Films offers full-service production from scouting and casting through post-production, as well as equipment rental, and co-produced the HBO Max original series 'Spy/Master.'
