MiddKid Productions is the television production company of creator, showrunner, and executive producer Shawn Ryan, best known for The Shield, S.W.A.T., and Netflix's The Night Agent. Based in Culver City, CA on the Sony Pictures lot, the company has been a prolific producer of prestige broadcast and streaming drama for over two decades. In 2024, Ryan signed a four-year overall deal with Netflix — following 13 consecutive years under overall deals at Sony Pictures Television — making MiddKid Productions one of the most active independent TV production banners in the industry.
