Midd Kid Productions

MiddKid Productions is the television production company of Shawn Ryan, creator of The Shield and The Night Agent, named as a nod to his alma mater Middlebury College. The company has been responsible for a string of acclaimed drama series including The Shield, The Unit, Timeless, S.W.A.T., and most recently The Night Agent on Netflix — the most-watched series on Netflix globally in 2023. In late 2024, Ryan and MiddKid's executive producer Marney Hochman moved from a long-running overall deal at Sony Pictures Television to a four-year overall deal with Netflix.
