GRUP MEDIAPRO (Mediaproducción S.L.U.) is one of Europe's leading independent audiovisual groups, founded in April 1994 in Barcelona, Spain, and operating across 50 offices in 28 countries on four continents with approximately 6,900–7,000 professionals. The company integrates the entire audiovisual value chain through five business units: The Mediapro Studio (content creation, production and distribution), Broadcast Media Services (technical/OB production, one of the world's largest mobile unit fleets, 25,000+ productions/year), Channels & Platforms (up to 15 proprietary channels), Media Rights Agency (leading sports rights management in Spain), and Mediapro Brands&Xperiences (immersive events, exhibitions, and experiential venues). Its content arm has co-produced acclaimed global titles including The Young Pope, The New Pope, The Good Boss, Official Competition, and The Head, earning multiple Oscars, Golden Globes, and Emmy Awards; the group is majority-owned by Southwind Media Capital (formerly Hontai Capital) and faced significant challenges in 2025–2026 following loss of La Liga broadcast production rights and an ongoing corporate restructuring.
