About

Marvel Television is the television production label of Marvel Studios, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, responsible for live-action and animated superhero television series based on Marvel Comics characters. Originally founded as a standalone division of Marvel Entertainment on June 28, 2010, it produced landmark MCU-connected series including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Punisher for networks including ABC, Netflix, Hulu, and Freeform. The original division was folded into Marvel Studios on December 10, 2019; in May 2024, Marvel Studios revived the 'Marvel Television' name as a distinct production banner for its Disney+ live-action series, debuting with Agatha All Along, separate from the Marvel Studios feature film banner, to signal to audiences that individual shows can be watched independently.
