MANKS Productions Inc. is a Toronto-based independent film, television, and new media production company founded by writer-director-producer James M. Russell, a former award-winning photojournalist trained at the UCLA film program and Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre. The company's motto is 'Great stories, well told,' with a slate focused on dramatic features, horror, and genre filmmaking. In 2018, Russell incorporated a related entity, MANKS Studios (also known as Manks Motion Picture Studios Inc.), intended to expand the company's scope to studio-level production support.
