Malta Film Commission

The Malta Film Commission is a quasi-governmental, non-profit public organization under the Government of Malta, established to attract international film and audiovisual productions to Malta and to support the local filmmaking community. Its offices are located at the Malta Film Studios in Kalkara, which boasts one of Europe's largest water tank facilities and a natural sea horizon backdrop. The Commission administers a financial incentives scheme offering cash rebates of up to 40% on qualifying production spend in Malta, and has facilitated landmark productions including Gladiator, The Da Vinci Code, World War Z, Captain Phillips, and Foundation. It also operates under the Screen Malta brand for international promotion and industry engagement.
