Lucia Films

Lucia Films is a Mexico City-based production and distribution company co-founded in 2010 (under the name Pop Films from 2005) by writer-director Michel Franco and producer Moisés Zonana. The company is one of Mexico's most internationally acclaimed independent film shingles, with credits including the Cannes Un Certain Regard winner After Lucia (2012), the Cannes Best Screenplay winner Chronic (2015), the Berlinale Best First Feature winner 600 Miles (2015), the Venice Golden Lion-winning From Afar (2015), and the Cannes Jury Prize winner April's Daughter (2017). Lucia Films develops, produces, and distributes feature films for the international arthouse market, with a focus on auteur cinema from Mexico and Latin America.
