Linda Lowy Casting was the independent casting office of Emmy Award-winning casting director Linda Lowy, based in Los Angeles at the News Center Building on Prospect Ave. The company cast film and television projects for over two decades, most notably serving as the long-running casting office for all Shondaland productions under Shonda Rhimes — including Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, and Inventing Anna — as well as major features and other network series. In January 2024, Linda Lowy formally launched a successor company, Backyard Casting, alongside longtime colleagues Morgan Redfield Smith and Lily Trotter, effectively superseding Linda Lowy Casting as her primary casting entity.
