Lightstorm Entertainment, Inc. is an American independent film and television production company founded in 1990 by filmmaker James Cameron and producer Lawrence Kasanoff. The company is best known for producing some of Hollywood's highest-grossing films, including Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), Titanic (1997), and the Avatar franchise — collectively earning over $9 billion at the worldwide box office. Headquartered in California, Lightstorm has a long-standing first-look deal with 20th Century Studios and has expanded into advanced production technologies, including in-house motion capture and its newly launched Lightstorm Vision 3D/VR division in partnership with Meta Platforms.
