Jewish Plays ProjectFollow

The Jewish Plays Project (JPP), founded in 2011, is a boutique new play development house — described as the nation's leading development house for contemporary Jewish theater — that identifies, develops, and presents new works exploring contemporary Jewish identity. The JPP runs an innovative, competitive playwriting contest model (the Jewish Playwriting Contest) that engages audiences, artists, and patrons in selecting and championing new voices, then advocates for the best plays to secure mainstream production opportunities. To date, the JPP has actively developed over 60 plays, dozens of which have gone on to production in New York, Los Angeles, London, Tel Aviv, and across the U.S. and Canada for more than 130,000 audience members.
