Inflamável

Cinema Inflamável is a Fortaleza-based independent film and television production company founded by director Karim Aïnouz and producer Janaina Bernardes, dedicated to nurturing bold and singular projects from the Northeast of Brazil for international audiences. The company has co-produced acclaimed feature films and documentaries that have premiered at major festivals including Cannes, Venice, and Berlin, and in 2017 received ANCINE support to develop a slate of five feature film projects and two series. Its most recent major production, 'Motel Destino' (2024), directed by Aïnouz, competed for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
