Immediate Medium

Immediate Medium is a Brooklyn-based non-profit performance collaborative and producing collective dedicated to building a community of artists through the creation of hybrid works of art that combine live performance and multimedia. The organization commissions, develops, and presents new works challenging formal distinctions between performance, dance, film, video, sculpture, and architecture. Through its IM AGENCY program, it also provides comprehensive support services — including fundraising assistance, marketing, equipment, space, fiscal sponsorship, and strategic advisement — to emerging performing artists. Founded in 2002 and co-founded by Artistic Director JJ Lind, it has presented work at New York City venues including the New Museum and IRT Theater.
