ICAA Film Board

The Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA) is Spain's national film agency — an autonomous public body attached to the Ministry of Culture responsible for planning and implementing policies to support the film industry and audiovisual production. It manages state subsidies and grants for production, distribution, and exhibition; maintains the Registry of Cinematographic and Audiovisual Companies; and issues certificates of Spanish nationality for films. The ICAA also oversees the Filmoteca Española (the national film archive), promotes Spanish cinema internationally, and serves as Spain's representative in the European Film Promotion (EFP) network.
