IAMA Theatre Company

IAMA Theatre Company is an award-winning, Los Angeles-based ensemble of artists founded in 2007, committed to cultivating new voices, creating boundary-pushing new works, and building an inclusive community that supports a new generation of theatre-makers and audiences. Designated by Playbill as 'one of 20 regional houses every theatre lover must know,' IAMA has produced over 40 World, West Coast, and Los Angeles Premiere productions since its founding, with many plays traveling to Off-Broadway venues including Second Stage and Playwrights Horizons. The company is a recipient of the Rhimes Foundation backing (led by Shonda Rhimes, IAMA's inaugural Patron of the Arts) and is resident at the Atwater Village Theatre in northeast Los Angeles.
