Halestorm Entertainment

HaleStorm Entertainment was an American independent film production and distribution company founded in January 2001 by Kurt Hale and Dave Hunter, both BYU film program graduates, and originally based in Orem, Utah. The company specialized in low-budget, family-friendly comedies aimed primarily at Latter-day Saint (LDS) audiences, producing a succession of LDS-themed films beginning with its debut hit The Singles Ward (2002). It later attempted to broaden its appeal to mainstream family audiences through its subsidiary Stone Five Studios, but the company was quietly dissolved in 2020 after years of reduced activity, with most of its library now controlled by Deseret Book.
