GEP Magicians

GEP Magicians Inc. is a Vancouver-based local production services company incorporated as the Canadian production entity for the Syfy fantasy drama series The Magicians (2015–2020), based on Lev Grossman's novel trilogy. Serving as the local production company throughout all five seasons filmed on Manitoba Street in Vancouver, BC, it operated in partnership with Groundswell Productions and Universal Cable Productions (later Universal Content Productions). This is a purpose-built shell/service company — standard practice for US studio productions filming in British Columbia to access provincial tax credits and satisfy local content regulations — rather than an independent production company with its own development slate.
