Ex Machina Studios is an AI-oriented feature film and television production company based in Los Angeles, founded in early 2026 by producer Marco Weber, filmmaker Martin Weisz, and Pluto TV co-founder Tom Ryan. The company pioneers an ethical, guild-aligned model for AI-enabled filmmaking — using real actors, human-authored narratives, and a proprietary AI tech stack developed in partnership with Sunnyvale-based Utopai Studios — to produce theatrically-oriented features and series at a fraction of traditional costs. Its slate is represented internationally by K5 International and the company is committed to 100% SAG, DGA, and WGA compliance.
