About

The De Laurentiis Company (DLC) is a storied American independent production company originally founded as the Dino De Laurentiis Company (DDLC) in 1980 by legendary Italian-American producer Dino De Laurentiis and his wife Martha De Laurentiis. Headquartered on the Universal Pictures lot in Universal City, CA, where it holds a long-standing first-look deal, DLC has produced or executive produced over 40 major films and miniseries spanning classic titles such as La Strada, Serpico, King Kong, Conan the Barbarian, and the Hannibal Lecter franchise including NBC's hit series Hannibal. Following Dino De Laurentiis's death in 2010 and Martha De Laurentiis's death in 2021, the company is now operated by their daughter Dina De Laurentiis alongside President of Production Ed Wacek, continuing the family's legacy of international film and television production.
