Operating out of Manalapan, New Jersey, the company has grown from micro-budget cult horror (Terrifier, 2016; budget ~$35K–$55K) to mainstream genre powerhouse with Terrifier 3 (2024) grossing over $90 million worldwide on a $3 million budget. Dark Age Cinema is regarded as one of the most remarkable success stories in modern American independent horror filmmaking.
