Czech Audiovisual Fund

The Czech Audiovisual Fund (CAF) is the main public financing body for the audiovisual industry in the Czech Republic, supporting all stages of audiovisual production from script development through distribution, with an annual operating budget of approximately 91 million EUR. Formerly known as the Czech Film Fund, it was formally transformed and rebranded as of January 1, 2025 under a new Audiovisual Act, expanding its mandate beyond traditional film to include series, animation, and video games. The Fund also administers production incentives offering refunds of up to 35% of eligible costs spent on audiovisual production in the Czech Republic, and encompasses two international-facing divisions: the Czech Film Center and the Czech Film Commission.
