Cyan Films

Cyan Films is the Adelaide-based production company of internationally awarded Australian producer Julie Ryan, founded in 2007. The company develops and produces quality feature films and documentaries, with a strong emphasis on bold, diverse storytelling from Australian and international voices. Cyan Films is known for a slate of internationally acclaimed titles screened at Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Toronto, Sundance, and SXSW, including Ten Canoes, Red Dog, Hotel Mumbai, and H is for Happiness. Since March 2023, Cyan Films has operated in a producing partnership with Umbrella Entertainment's genre-focused production arm, Sanctuary Pictures, building a new slate of theatrical genre films.
