Cristal Pictures is a Los Angeles-based independent motion picture finance and production company founded in 2016 by producer Scott Einbinder and Chris Liu of China's East Light Film Company. The company focuses on financing and producing mid- to high-budgeted English-language films for domestic and global theatrical distribution, with a specific emphasis on content that appeals to both Western and Chinese audiences. Cristal's inaugural co-production was The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017), co-financed and co-produced with Millennium Films and released by Lionsgate. The company is backed by East Light Film Company along with equity investors from China, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia.
