The Collective Studios is a nearly 12,000-square-foot independent film production facility located in Southfield, Michigan, co-founded in 2025 by a collective of 13 metro Detroit filmmakers led by Mike Jeffers. The studio offers 44 diverse, fully built-out set spaces — including a courtroom, hospital, church, police station, jail cells, airplane interior, bar/restaurant, hair salon, and green screen — available for rental by independent filmmakers, photographers, videographers, content creators, advertisers, and marketers. Created specifically to address the scarcity of professional production locations in the Detroit metro area, the studio is closely connected to Michigan's thriving indie film community, with many members' works distributed on Tubi. The facility also hosts filmmaking classes and has received institutional recognition from the Michigan Film and Digital Media Office.
