CNN Original Series

CNN Original Series is the non-scripted programming division of CNN Worldwide, responsible for developing, commissioning, and producing documentary series and host-led factual programming for broadcast on CNN, CNN International, streaming on Max, and the CNN Originals hub on discovery+. Active since 2012, the group has overseen and executive produced more than 50 multi-part documentary series and 70 feature-length documentary films, earning more than 120 awards and 450 nominations, including CNN's first Academy Award for 'Navalny.' It is best known for landmark series including the Peabody and Emmy Award-winning 'Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,' and Emmy Award-winning franchises such as 'United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell,' 'Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy,' and 'The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper.' The division sits under the CNN Originals umbrella — which also includes CNN Films, CNN FlashDocs, and CNN Studios — all overseen by Executive Vice President Amy Entelis.
