Classic Stage Company

Classic Stage Company (CSC) is an award-winning Off-Broadway theater company founded in 1967 and located at the Lynn F. Angelson Theater in Manhattan's East Village. Dedicated to re-imagining the classical repertory — from Shakespeare and Chekhov to Sondheim and beyond — for contemporary American audiences, CSC is one of Off-Broadway's oldest and most respected institutions. The company serves approximately 35,000 audience members annually, including over 4,000 students through its nationally recognized education programs, and has been honored with the Obie, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League, and 1999 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Body of Work.
