Celluloid Dreams is a Paris-based French independent film company specializing in international sales, production, and financing of quality arthouse and independent cinema, operating under the banner 'The Directors' Label.' Founded in 1985 by French-Iranian producer Hengameh Panahi (originally in Brussels as 'Celluloid Dealers' before relocating to Paris in 1993), the company has championed visionary directors from underrepresented regions for over 35 years, with credits including films by Jacques Audiard, Jafar Panahi, Hirokazu Kore-eda, Jia Zhangke, Gaspar Noé, and François Ozon. Following founder Panahi's passing in November 2023, the company has continued operations under its core sales and acquisitions team, actively attending major international film markets and festivals.
