Bluegrass Films

Bluegrass Films was the Hollywood production banner of producer Scott Stuber, launched in 2012 as a rename of Stuber Pictures, and operated under a first-look deal at Universal Pictures. The company produced a commercially successful slate of feature films and television projects spanning comedy, action, thriller, and sci-fi genres, including Ted (2012), Safe House (2012), Battleship (2012), 47 Ronin (2013), Central Intelligence (2016), and Bird Box (2018). Stuber departed Bluegrass Films in 2017 to become Head of Global Films at Netflix, leaving the company dormant. The Bluegrass banner has since been credited retroactively on some later Stuber-produced projects including Frankenstein (2025) on Netflix.
