Black Odyssey Media

Black Odyssey Media is an independent, Black woman-owned publishing house founded in 2023 by author, independent film producer, and former literary agent Shawanda "N'Tyse" Williams, headquartered in Rockwall, Texas. The company is dedicated to championing underrepresented and minority storytellers, publishing approximately 10+ titles annually across commercial fiction, romance, thriller, and multi-genre works with a particular focus on the Black experience. Launched as a venture of independent film and media studio Black Odyssey LLC, it maintains a cross-media mission — concentrating on novelizations and literary works with strong film and television adaptation potential. Trade distribution is handled through Kensington Publishing.
