About

Black Light District Entertainment is a Los Angeles-based independent production company co-founded in 2014 by Singaporean-Australian journalist-turned-writer-director Daniel Y-Li Grove and Iranian-American film publicist-turned-actor-producer Reza Sixo Safai. The company develops, produces, and finances boundary-pushing independent cinema and television that represents diversity and underrepresented voices. It is best known for producing the acclaimed genre films 'A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night' (2014) and 'The Persian Connection' (2016), and for co-producing 'Prisoners of the Ghostland' (2021), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
