Animus Films is a Los Angeles-based independent production and development company founded by producer James (Jim) Young in 2002. The company is dedicated to developing and producing character-driven films and television content for broad audiences. Notable credits include the Showtime documentary Year of the Bull, the thriller Homecoming (Paramount/Lifetime), the Sundance Closing Night film The Words (CBS Films), Lovelace, Life of a King, and the historical drama The Man Who Knew Infinity (2016). The company also produces audio documentary content, including The League podcast series.
