A New Georges

New Georges is an Obie Award-winning not-for-profit Off-Broadway theater company based in New York City, founded in 1992, dedicated to developing and producing new work by women, trans, and non-binary artists. Operating on two tiers — production and play/artist development — the company has premiered over 100 new plays and supported the largest ongoing working community of women theater artists in New York City. New Georges is widely recognized as a national incubator for adventurous theatrical voices, with alumni whose work spans theater, film, television, and arts education.
