A Casual Romance

A Casual Romance Productions is a Los Angeles-based film and television production company co-founded in 2014 by Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, along with Girls producer Ericka Naegle, with the stated mission of pushing the ball forward on gender and sexuality in storytelling. The company held an overall deal with HBO and produced documentaries and scripted series including the HBO series Camping (2018), the Sundance documentary Suited (2016), and the HBO short It's Me, Hilary: The Man Who Drew Eloise (2015). In July 2018, Dunham and Konner announced their split as producing partners ahead of the December expiration of their HBO overall deal, effectively ending active operations of the banner.
