Through the medium and magic of film, I will bring hope and help to those facing dire challenges: whether it's cancer, a dangerous drinking habit, or the need to find love and meaning in life. As a cancer survivor and alcohol minimalist, I weave entertainment, humor, and love into my storytelling. My debut book, Blood Brother: A Memoir and a Miracle, is centered around the compelling tagline: "Johnny's bone marrow could save my life, but he'd vanished thirty years ago." But then the miracle happened. My second book, Mostly Sober: A Love Story and a Road Trip, draws from my own trauma, speaks to those longing for love and a meaningful life, but need to find solace in a bottle. These heart-breaking situations affect millions of people, but my stories provide hope and describe a glorious second chance at life.
